Seduced by an Italian (Audi Content, but not important)
I have a '97 A4Q 2.8L stick. A good friend is on his third Alfa. I don't
remember which model, but it's a '96, it has about a 3 litre engine, 200+
HP, four doors, beautiful angular body, full luxury/sports sedan, great
ride, full leather, power/heated seats, etc.
We took his car downtown (Seattle) Wednesday at lunch, as mine was having
the Blizzaks and stocks switched. Stopped at a light going uphill, his car
wouldn't go forward; we slid, despite spinning tires, until we got off the
grate we hadn't noticed. Then we got moving and it was able to go over it.
We've stopped at the same point many times before in my A4Q. No problems.
This cured me of any desire to own an FWD again. But it was even more
ironic for David, because I had less than a minute before mentioned how I
used to watch Hondas slide around trying to get up that hill, back when I
worked there!
