cq possibly for sale (Again)
As usual I have the turbo bug. What else is new.
A couple of nice S4s and one particular 91 200tq wagon
have my eye. So...
I'm considering, with very mixed feelings, the sale of
my CQ. My work situation is somewhat up in the air right now,
so selling it may or not be the right decision for me.
If I can find a buyer for the right price, then I'll figure
out the rest. If not, I'll keep on driving (apologies to the
two A4 1.8t drivers I blew by yesterday coming back from
Hunter Mtn).
Here are the vitals:
- 1990 CQ (late model with airbag)
- 115k miles
- all documented, originally from Florida (bought at 83k
from Christian Long, a lister)
- a real looker with shiny red paint and dark window tint
- black leather seats with winter package (heated, ski sack)
- 15" BBS Pininfarina alloys with RE71s, Graspics on 15" steels
- Custom Infinity/Alpine stereo
- Avital passive alarm with remote locking
- Euro H4 lights, properly relayed
- Koni Sport yellow shocks with Eibach springs
- K&N cone filter, TAP chip
- Scorpion stainless exhaust
- stealth Cobra CB with glass mount antenna
Maintained exclusively by perhaps the best Audi wrench on the
east coast, new heater box/core/blower motor/temp flap motor.
Everything works. I estimate power to be somewhere around 180hp.
With this suspension, the car handles like a dream.
Here's the catch. My latest tally shows almost 15k into this car.
There's nothing else you could do to it except add a supercharger
or swap in a turbo motor. I don't think I'm up for that
challenge, so it probably makes more sense to look elsewhere.
I think a fair price is somewhere betweek 12-14k. If you're
serious about the car, let me know and we can chat.
