actually, that's highly unlikely.  'Sylvia' and gte.net is most certainly a spoofed
email address, more likely it was sent from freei.net.  since this goes throught the
listserver, we don't see all the headers that get it to coimbra, so you can't be
sure exactly how it got there. Dan may be able to dig this out, but it's more of a
hassle to track down each spammer than to delete the messages - a fact the spammers
count on...

have you considered setting the listserver to subscribers post only ?  i know
unsubbed listers like to post from time to time, so this may be a problem, but it
would prevent spammers from posting, since they virtually never use real email
addresses...
