Re: Newsflash : New A4 is HERE & In Dealers
I'm a bit behind things.... catching up with email.
But... I got one of these new A4s. The dealer (Danbury VW, AUDI,
PORSCHE - CT) didn't make any issues about not selling the new ones. I
had a specific list of options I wanted (Sport PKG, Sunroof, 5spd, ONLY)
and the only ones they had (actually the only ones like that at the 3
dealers in a 50 mile radius) had just rolled off the boat - a black and
a silver. The both had heated seats - so I had to pony up the extra or
wait for a factory order - I got the hot buns. I took the black/black.
Got a pretty good price thru auto-by-tel too. Funny thing is, I'm
driving around with dealer plates. I guess the car is so new, and so
soon off the boat, that they didn't get the right paperwork to process
the registration - should be a couple more weeks, but it's mine in the
meantime (of course I'm still PAYING).
The differences the salesman pointed out were - the A6 style headlights
(not HID), the center console is a little different (extra tiny
cupholder), bigger sunroof - although I couldn't tell a difference,
separate foglights in the lower bumper. Someone asked about the sport
package wheel? I got the black interior - so this may not answer the
question, but it's a black/black 3 spoke with the little badge on the
bottom. I also think the overhead console (map lights, etc) was changed
too.
I must say, it is one damn fine automobile. Of course, so is the 'old'
1999.
