... actually there is a "noted" psychic in the South Bay Area by the name of
Silvia Browne.  She was peripherally involved in an investment scheme that
cost my wife's mother and sister's families most of their life savings.
While the main culprit was caught, prosecuted and convicted, she got off
without a scratch.  

... sorry for the WOB ... it is still a sore subject for me ...

	actually, that's highly unlikely.  'Sylvia' and gte.net is most
certainly a spoofed
	email address, more likely it was sent from freei.net.  since this
goes throught the
	listserver, we don't see all the headers that get it to coimbra, so
you can't be
	sure exactly how it got there. Dan may be able to dig this out, but
it's more of a
	hassle to track down each spammer than to delete the messages - a
fact the spammers
	count on...

	have you considered setting the listserver to subscribers post only
?  i know
	unsubbed listers like to post from time to time, so this may be a
problem, but it
	would prevent spammers from posting, since they virtually never use
real email
	addresses...
