thermo fan switch on a 4k
Hi all,
Changed the thermostat that inspired whoever to vent on original parts over
the weekend and BOOM, had another little thingy to worry about. After
changing the thermo and O-ring, adding more coolant and warming the car up
to take the air off the system, the radiator fan, which was coming on and
off as usual got stuck in the ON position. This way it only cuts off when
the car is off. Turning the key to "contact" without cranking starts it
right back even if the car is dead-cold (at the same time the afterrunning
is no longer). After checking the switches, found the one at the bottom
driver's side of the radiator turns it off if disconnected. For me this
kinda solves it but I still want to ask if there is anything else I may
have done wrong/should check before ordering what I believe is called sth
like RADIATOR FAN SWITCH by the Bentley. Besides I am curious if this
particular switch has a history of making poor guys like me pay.
Is it possible that I screwed up washing the underneath of the car with the
pressure hose on Saturday (before changing the thermo, please laugh)?
TIA,
Raffi
