dropping a 4 speed in a 3 speed car??(tranny question)

OK....You guys are probably tired of reading my post, but I got ANOTHER
problem with my car.  My slushbox is going out and I need a rebuild on it.
Here is my question.  My slushbox(89 200t10v FWD) is a 3 speed automactic and
I am wondering if you can put a 4 speed tranny into it?  I just CAN"T take the
3 speed anymore.  Any suggestions?  Any BTDT?
