	If you are looking at a second tranny, you will probably need to have the
final drive redone as well. The final drive is often the source of the trouble
any. The diff oil "disappears" and things get too hot. That stresses the trans
as well.
	If you need to have the final drive reworked, find an older unit. One with a
3.45:1 ratio. This will give you better acceleration and have the engine in
the middle of the power range at 60-65 mph. It might reduce the milage
slightly. But it does make things a little nicer otherwise.
	We just did this with my son's '88 5000S. So far he likes the changes. We
have not checked the milage yet, but it doesn't seem to have changed
significantly.
