Re: Audi: Keith flames Cindy

Whoa! I think you're way too quick to judge here. First, Cindy can't be
too dumb as she bought an Audi. Second she had the sense to ask Kerry
who is a member of this list and therefore on the high end of the IQ scale.

Also it is entirely possible that during manufacture or shipping or at
any other time Cindy's oil pan was damaged (fractured possibly by a
fall) such that it was invisible to the naked eye. This damaged
component was then mistakenly installed on an otherwise flawless new
Audi. Subsequent day-to-day use weakened the part until failure. This
would not be Cindy's fault and she is well within her rights to request
replacement since purchase of a new Audi implies new, undamaged parts
which she did not receive. If this is the case then AoA owes her a new
oil pan.

I think we need to hear from Kerry again to find out if an actual event
caused the failure or if she noticed it over time. Also we would need
to find out if Cindy is prone to "driving like an idiot" or not. A few
posted digital pictures of the part in question would take care of that
question.
