UPDATE Jamex Strut Brace Group Purchase

Here is the current situation with the Jamex Strut Brace Group Purchase, as
posted to me by John Karasaki. I still need to compile the list of names when
I get home, as some were sent to this address and some to my other one.

You guys can expect some emails from me to confirm the type of car you have.
We are still waiting on word for rear coup/4k/80/90 strut braces, as well as
those for type 44 chassis cars.

I will keep everyone updated as best I can.

If you need to email me, please send it to auditude@impulsedata.net

Later,

Ken

Hi, Ken.

I put in an order for 16 front coupe/4k/80/90 bars. 10 are in stock. The other
6 (or more) should be here within a month.

I have the Jamex guys researching the rear bars. They were able to tell me what
TAP buys, but when I saw the picture in the catalog, it was different from the
picture of Rick Zehr's bar.

They are also checking on the front type 44 bar that they stopped carrying.

When I first saw the coupe/4k/80/90 bar strut brace, I didn't think it would
work on the urq. I works great and actually better than the Sparco bar that is
twice the cost.

The beauty of it is that it is very adjustable. It also has the offset for the
engine compartment mounted battery. I didn't think the urq needed this offset,
but it actually does to clear the brake reservoir, cruise control gear, and
other items. A few of my friends have the Sparco bar. It is very nice.
However, I don't see how it could be used and maintain the AC line without
re-routing the line. Also, it's not very adjustable and costs about $200.

HTH.

Jamex will be calling me back by (a promised) noon today.

I'll weigh the one spare bar I have tonight and let you know how much it will
cost to ship. Then you can start having folks send me checks. We should ship
the stress braces out in the order we received requests unless they don't send
the checks!

Thanks again for putting this together.
