Re: 1996 A4 with 70K plus miles

I think this is the _right_ price range for the original U.S. A4 actually.
I keep seeing these '96 12V V6's on lots around here (VT/NewEngland) for
$23k+, and at that price they don't seem to move, unless the miles are
remarkably low.  The fact that they are 12V, and first U.S. edition (I know
they were out in Euro before, but this is the market perception) seems to be
working against them.  But with nice late 90Q's going for high teens still,
$19k for an A4 is still a nice option...

When it was my turn to shop, I took a newer, lower mileage, 1.8T for same
money.  Way more fun to drive than the V6, and with a chip, faster even...

BTW, to qualify a previous post, the car may have done more like 17k a year,
since there is every chance it was new in '95 (you could confirm this
though).
