This oil pan mystery

Here's a thought. Since I still do not know which model Audi we're talking
about, I'm just guessing here. Isn't the oil pan hidden behind the
aerodynamic lower engine cover? If Cindy hit something large enough to
damage the oil pan, wouldn't the cover also be damaged or missing? That's a
large unintended event to simply overlook.
