Window Regulator Cables

Has anyone heard about how Audi just started selling the cable assembelies
for the regulators so you don't have to buy the whole regulator to fix just
the cable? If anyone knows where I could find a cable assembly for an 87
Coupe GT please let me know.

Also I have searched the archives but cannot find the part # for the
circlips needed to do the windows yourself (if the cable assembly doesn't
work out).. So if anyone knows it??
