Hi,
   We bought a '84 model "80" (your "90") with the 2.6L V6 with 70k km
on it. When we first bought it it was using about 1L/1500km of Mobil 1
15/50.
   It has now done 125k km and consumption is down to 0.75L/5000km.
   I believe that the original excessive consumption was due to gummed
up piston ring grooves as the oil/filter changes (with good quality oil)
at 5000km intervals has resulted in both a decrease in oil consumption
and better performance. BTW the cold engine tappet rattle has almost
been eliminated as well. It now gives the impression that it will go
forever.
