Heh, heh. A reasonable question, but could be like asking for the best
choice in motor oil.
I have limited, unsatisfying experience in sunroof lubing: my mechanic
once routinely greased the sunroof track (the easily visible horizontal
surface), and the sunroof worked fine. But I decided that grease was a
_bad_ idea because of possible dirt pickup (plus the fact that there were
no signs that the grease was lubricating any points of contact)--so I wiped
it clean and sprayed on some silicone. Soon thereafter the panel stopped
retracting fully. I reapplied grease (multipurpose lithium lube?), and it
immediately began to work perfectly. But it's still not obvious to me where
the critical lube (friction) areas are located.
