  I think I read earlier in this thread that one owner had "used synthetic

  Will the lubricating prowess of a good synthetic oil hinder the 
  breaking-in of a new engine.  
  
  Sure, there is a recommended first oil change interval, but does this 
  guarantee that the engine is truly broken-in at that point?  If not 
  completely broken-in, might a good synthetic oil prevent this from ever 
  happening?
