Timing Belt-Water pump-cranks/cam seal repair

I just purchased an 87 5kcstq and have quite a bit of oil on the cam belt.
I don't know when the belt was last done, so I am going to replace the belt,
water pump and oil seals.  I have not looked under the cover yet and would
like to know if this is a job a reasonable experienced home mechanic can do.
Do I have to pull the damper to do the oil seal?  If so, Can I use the same
damper puller as an American v8? (I doubt it).

I would like to know what special tools are necessary and where I can get
them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
