hot fuse

i had a similar hot fuse problem with my 81 4ks's. the fuse ran so hot that
over time the cap would separate from the fuse element. checking the fuse
body...it looked perfect...causing a lot of wasted time searching elsewhere.
a voltmeter proved it was the fuse after checking everything else. i
determined that it was a fuse holder problem and installed two new
fuseholders in parallel with two fuses of half the rating of the original. i
had no further problems, but the fuses still ran warm...but not hot
