Subframe and control arms...

Hi!

I'm going to call a scrapyard in order to get control arms
and subframe for my 1990 Audi 200 front-wheel auto. The
bushings are shot and they're a fortune from the Audi
parts dealerships. My starting point is to see how much
good 2nd-hand units will be (only take them if they're
not cracked up).

Just need to know if subframe and control arms same on the
pre-1988 Audi 100/5k and the post-1988 Audi 100/200, manual
and auto? I'm thinking there is no difference.

Is it wise to take these 2nd-hand if they're good? I'm
expecting price difference to be quite large between buying
new Audi bushings and getting the used part. Good idea to
do this?

Sourcing subframe and control arm bushings in new aftermarket
form is not going too well. I have so far had one person
who will make a polyurethane replacement. No thanks.
