Sunroof (again)
I'm posting this again since I didn't receive any replies. Hopefully
someone can take a break from the "horn ring lube" thread to reply :-)
I realize this has no doubt been covered countless times, and is no doubt
in the archives, but my computer is in the shop and the one I am using at
the moment takes forever to download anything, so bear with me.
The weather is getting nice again, and it's finally time to tackle the
misaligned sunroof in the my '84 5KS. The problem is simply that the
sunroof doesn't work at all without assistance from me, in terms of pushing
the roof open or closed. The motor works, but doesn't catch the drive
mechanism much of the time. I realize that I need to lube the mechanism and
adjust it properly, and have the Bentley, but what I'd like to know is
whether I should disassemble the sunroof in order to accomplish this or
whether there is an easier way to do this.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
TIA,
Jeff Mruss
