watch for faulty fuel pump relays
Just adding my 2 cents in--I remember reading about this earlier, but
hadn't solved my problem for sure. Anyway, I had all the symptoms of a
faulty relay (and the car would run and start when I bridged the relay)
so I went to the local parts store, and fortunately they had one in
stock. It was, unfortunately, $50. Anyway, I put it in, and it worked
sporadically. A quick call to one of the vendors on the list (in this
case, The Parts Connection) got one to my door for less than half of
that, and it worked perfect. Drove me crazy--went through half of the
tests in the bentley while waiting for the new relay to arrive because
of the sporadic nature of the problem.
And, of course, the parts store had a "no return policy" on electrical
components. . .
The list was a great help in tracking this down. I hope someone finds
this helpful.
