I've been on the list for nearly a year and a half (minus a sabattical),
but I don't recall ever seeing a discussion of using the engine management
system from an MC engine with the WX head/block/intake. Lots of discussions
about transplanting the entire MC engine, harness, computer, fi system, etc,
into an ur-Q.

Since you'll be putting yourself through the difficulty of integrating two
wiring harnesses that were never put together in a car in production, you
might as well get the engine completely out of the way.

More reasons for a complete MC transplant: The MC produces 162bhp versus
the WX's 160, and 177lb.ft of torque vs. 170.

Lastly, I'd assume (and could be wrong) that there are specific characteristics
of the WX engine (probably not bore and stroke, though that's the 1st specific
characteristic that comes to mind that's different between the WX and MC), that
the ECU takes into consideration that would be wrong if you mismatch the ECU and
the engine.

Hopefully, others (Ned included) can shed the light of greater experience
and wisdom on this subject... -dq
