Whuoweeek & ticaticaticatica -- Sounds like trouble!
My '87 4kq has evidently been parked too close to my '88 QSW, and the "Whuoweeek" that comes from the clutch pedal area when it is depressed has spread from one to the other. Both now issue a plaintiff, resigned squeak when the clutch is pushed in and when it comes out. I was thinking, on my way home from work, that it sounds like what stepping on a small goose might sound like.
What is this and how do I stop it?
Also, it seems that this week, the 4kq has developed a "ticaticaticatica" in the engine compartment. With the hood up it sounds quite loud. It is higher in pitch than the thoonkthoonkthoonk that the QSW makes, which I guess is the mechanical vacuum booster thing.
For ten points, what is this noise and how do I stop it.
TIA
