Do you know anything about how the oil fields (& coal & natural gas etc)
were formed?  10's of millions of years of huge amounts of plant matter
piling and later being compressed is the short version.

Your kids or their kids will likely see the end of the oil at the rate
we're going.  Oh, maybe new discoveried of reserves (I love the way that
makes it sound like we put them there for later use...) will extend it
by a generation.

Yup, we'll probably be dead, so on a personal basis they *will* last
forever, so why worry?
