Front pad life

    Just checked the front brake pads on the 5Q. New pads have about
1/2" of material, these have a little more than 1/4", to me that's
pretty good. I don't usually change them at that thickness. My question
is, how long do front pads last? I have never changed them. I have put
about 50,000 on the car since I got it. Assuming they were new at
purchase, good assumption (an Egenton's car). Car stops extremely well.
Dust imprint of pad was on the rotor as I turned it so calipers are
working. Not interested in doing any work that is not needed. Have
enough of the other type of work.
