Add me to the ur-q owners list :-)
Yay,
In case no-one noticed my new Sig line in my last post, I now own
a Black, 83' ur-q. I bought it sight un-seen from a list member. The car
was in a wreck but thanks to the incredibly detailed examination by
Steve Bucholtz I feel I know exactly what I am getting. I wont pick it
up for another month but even then it will be a few months before it is on
the road again. However , I already have a line on a new Euro Bumper in
GB that I will pick up and bring home in a Ski Bag this summer. :-)
Anyhow, apparently the car is (was) in immaculate condition, has
like 110,000 miles on it, entirely new braking system (new MC, Prop Valve,
SS lines, Booster, Brembo Drilled Rotors, and Pagid Pads), newly painted
Porsche Silver Ronal 15x6" wheels (Will make a great winter wheel but I'd
like to get something better for the track and Summer usage. (Although
I'll mainly drive the 4kq in the winter :-) Oh, yea, car has the Dark
Dark Brown leather Interior (Mocha I think???)
Anyhow, I'm pretty happy. I've always wanted one and this seemed
like an good chance to get one and get to know it while I fix it up. Car
has many electrical upgrades so for a ur-q many of the common failing
points have been replaced. So once its fixed up it should be ready to
drive and have fun with. :-)
Anyhow, just though I'd write you guys and share my Jubulations.
