RE: Emission diferences in CA Audi's & 90q20v
AFAIK for Audis that are built today there are few difference between cars
that meet the California emissions and those that are not spec'ed to do so.
Keep in mind that there are other states that require their new cars meet
the California emissions, so just because your car has this sticker doesn't
necessarily mean that you are looking at a car that was originally sold in
California. Perhaps someone more familiar with the particular model can
post any differences in the specs, but I would be surprised if there really
were any of significance. BTW, I've actually heard that there were Audi
models where all cars shipped to the US were stickered as meeting the
California specs. I believe that California's law requires that certain
VINs be registered as meeting the requirement, and at one time there may
have been some difference in the emissions warranty between California and
the US spec.
Having such a car would save you $300 if you ever were to register it here
in California. That's likely to be the only difference you'd notice.
