can I follow up on this reply to a post I put up a little while ago.  I'm
in barbados, west indies with no audi dealers... in fact when I go for a
sunday drive its.." wow , an audi mon!!".  

I have the option to either replace the head., (cracked) or put in a new
unit. (How does the car drive with a cracked head, just trying to second
guess the mechanic shop) ..
I think keeping the car as original as spec is preferable.  (The car was
too fast for these roads as stock).  2 problems now I have made the
choice.. I don't know the engine type, can't find the ID#.. second is does
anyone have or can locate the engine parts from the UK.. There are family
and friends visiting regularly.. its better than fedx at times..so any
references or advice you can give to the mechanically challenged  would be
most appreciated.
