Ca emissions differences
I have a 90 90Q 20v that was first sold in VA. The diagnostics are
slightly different than those indicated in the Bentley for a CA car. As
this is an early production vehicle, the differences may fall into that
particular gray area, however.
In my experience dealing with things like this every day, the
differences have been minor to nonexistent in the last few years. My 85
Jetta must be from a very cold place, it has a block heater, but
everything else is as the CA cars. My 87 Golf, on the other hand, is
CIS, not CIS-E, a system I thought left our market by 1985. It's an
original CA car.
Now, are we confused enough?
