RE: Rad Fan Will not Shut Off (Thanks)

Many thanks to all who responded to my plea for help. This list really is a
Godsend for those of us on a limited budget. Turned out the problem is the
the fan thermo switch, 2nd speed contacts are welded together according to
my ohmmeter. Ordered new switch (and multifunction switch AND tune-up kit!)
from Blau last night,
jeez can't you guys devalue your dollar by about $0.45 Canadian, anyhow
still cheaper than buying stuff up here. Also checked to make sure resistor
pack was good and sure enough all 3 speeds work.

Thanks again,
John

Sounds like the fan thermo switch is grounded out. About $15-20+ for the
switch, and about 3-5 min to R/R the switch. This same thing happened to
me recently... fans just stuck in high.. Since it was still very cold here
I just pulled the relays until the switch arrived and watched to make sure
I didn't let the coolant temp rise too high.
