I spoke too soon - dead Ur quattro

I opened my mouth too and now I'm being punished for it...

The engine started last night and ran roughly but I fixed that this morning
(helps to fix the plug leads in the correct order).

I waited for the snow (British springtime) to stop then took it out for a
run to check things. All appeared ok until I'd covered just over a mile then
the revs dropped, picked up again but there was no power, the oil light came
on and the tach stopped registering. I made it back to my driveway (at
walking pace at times) where the car idled at very low revs then stalled. It
now wont restart.   I'm going to start checking things but I've got an
additional problem - the car is stranded in my drive blocking my garage and
my alternate transport is in there.
