There was your mistake. The person obviously interpreted the flash as
impolite. In my experience, flashing causes more harm than good. My
solution is the left blinker. Works surprisingly often, and if it
doesn't at least it doesn't seem to offend. Next step is get in the
boost and go around on the right. 99 percent of the drivers out there
won't floor it to keep of with you. The few that do try usually won't be
able to keep up anyway. If they do, fine let 'em shake the trees for
bears for you. Don't get me wrong, I come up against my share of
annoying drivers, but the trick is to outsmart them and not let them
upset you. Tough sometimes, but worth trying.

 Oh, and make mine a HMD targeted, radar locked, turret mounted phase
plasma cannon with several megawatts of power. Or for stealth, a nice
little EMP drone would be nice.
