It's the a/c switch in the dash---

I've had this problem before. There is a small mechanism inside the switch 
housing that actuates different poles of slave switches. The mechanism hangs 
up and sometimes pops off. You have to take the entire center console apart 
to get to it. When you do, be careful taking the switch apart not to lose any 
of the small pieces within.

Check with other listers for troubleshooting ides. I'm giving you a BTDT 
situation.
