battery theory-- thanks

Thanks to all who responded about my marine battery question.. there were
just too many responses to answer individually, so please accept this
lazy man's subsitiute.

BTW the vast majority saw no problem provided some common sense precautions
were taken, i.e. use heavy enough cables, the right charger, etc.
