RE: Blinking red light on Bose system
... I've seen the newer cars with the blinking light, but I didn't know that
there was one in the '91 200q as well. AFAIK the unit in my '91 V8 is the
same (AAMOF I just replaced it this weekend and know the P/N is the same)
and I've never seen a blinking light either on the original unit (which was
a remanufactured unit) or the one I just replaced it with ...
... as an aside ... even though I got the code with the rebuilt unit, I
found I did not need to enter the code when I installed it! Just for fun I
activated the code setting mechanism and entered the correct code, which it
took ... but I don't know if the feature is actually working. Has anyone
else seen this behavior on a reman'ed unit?
