my suggestion, pull any codes. put new sparkplugs in, check for a clean
airfliter, a good cat, exhaust leaks and the like. run premium fuel for
about a week before the test, and then just before the test run the hell out
of the car keeping the revs up. I did all of this and just passed my 79
bronco that had WAY WAY worse original test results. Oh, keep in mind my
bronco has no cat (it should) so if that piece can pass bet yours can.....
one more thing, just before the guy sticks the sniffer in, give a couple of
good revs to redline.
