I don't own an Audi but these things may help. If you might want to check
your O2 sensor and EGR valve in addition to what Shayne said. Sometimes
your EGR gets really dirty and just a good cleaning of the valve itself
along with the tube going from the valve to the exhaust manifold. That
tends to get clogged up as well. Your O2 sensor may be bad and need to be
replaced. You may also notice a power increase and better gas mileage
too.
