First, for everyone who asked, here is the phone # for Carlisle Auto Air:
800-243-4333 and 210-377-3377
As for the part #'s, I don't have the receipt with me right now, but the
compressor is a Sanden SD-5. The bracket adaptor had a p/n of only 4
digits (which I do not remember) and seems to be a custom piece, so its
probably not listed in many catalogues. But the description on the invoice
said something like "non-adjustable York to Sanden bracket". They will
know what you are talking about. Back to Eric's question, yes, they sell
generic adaptors which allow a Sanden to be installed where a York was.
I imagine they work on any make or model car. There are two models, the one
mentioned above (which I used), and one that has a pivot to allow for belt
adjustment. The second one is of course more expensive ($75?).
Caveat: The first receiver/dryer they gave me had the pressure
cut-out switch on the wrong side, i.e. sticking straight into the condensor.
On the invoice it was "LOIL dryer" (switch left of inlet in their catalogue).
What I needed, and exchanged for was "ROIL", switch right of inlet.
