Re: Clutch pedal "sticking"



Remember that on some cars (4kq, Coupe GT, etc.) a clutch pedal that
stays on the floor could also be caused by a worn bushing in the pedal
itself, where it pushes against the master cylinder rod.  They can wear
to a oval/bean shape with the same annoying result - BTDT.  The solution
is quite simple and cheap: adjust the master cylinder rod so that there
is less play and put some grease on it to reduce any future wear.  Or if
it's too worn, a trip to the local junk yard should yield a replacement
pedal for very little $$.
