If your seeing serious track duty go with a serious belt. For an
Occasional Track day, Auto-X, and spirited Driving I would go with the
Schroth. The ASM Idea supposedly works but in a major Accident I'd rather
be tied in to a 5/6 pt Racing Belt with 3" straps. The nice thing about
the Schroth is that you can get the Auto Control Feature for your belt
allowing you to flip a Toggle Switch and either be able to lean forward
and adjust the Radio or grab a cleanex in a break during Spirited Driving
or Idling around cooling your tires after 20 laps, Or Flip the switch and
lock yourself in place to keep you from sliding off your seats and freeing
up your legs to operate the Clutch/Brake/Gas instead of bracing against
the door. :-)
Just depends. ON my Track Car with Roll Cage and stuff I'll have
3" Racing 5/6pt belts. On my Daily Driver for Occasional Track Days I'll
take the Schroth for ease of use, Quick Disconnect of rear so you can
carry a passenger, etc.
Hope that helps.
