Received the NHTSA report on the KS recall..

.. and basically, it tells me nothing. It lists the same VIN ranges as were
seen on the q-list. What a bunch of hooey. So, AoA will tell me to talk to
the NHTSA, and the NHTSA report says that Audi determined what the problem
was, but doesn't offer any specifics.

Just as a reminder, the reason this was brought up, is because the fuel
injector and o-ring part numbers are the same for years '92 - '94. We've
seen the posts that say the lot number is what's important here, and we've
seen the posts that say the gray topped injector (or was it the black top
injector?) is the culprit.

I'll just have to go on faith that a fire is not imminent under my hood.
