An interesting story from one of the times I was being tempted to buy an ur-q
(a temptation I have yet to succumb to...). In around 1989/90 or so, an Acura
dealership (Acura of Mountain View) had a black '85 ur-q for sale that had
only 10k miles on it at the time. The story was that Acura US had purchased
the car new from Audi and had "reverse engineered" it (read took everything
apart and put it back together to see what went into building it, cost to
build, etc.), and the miles were mostly test miles. That was enough to scare
me off from that one. The person (sales guy) at the dealership who told the
story was a quattro fan himself and seemed honest about it...of course ymmv.

There does seem to be a similarity in design at times between Audi and Honda.
(Though I hate to admit it since I tend to despise the H-word cars) Who
copied who? Hard to say...kinda like sorting out the battles between our 8
and 9 year old boys ("he copied me").
