Final plee for help!!
I have asked this question before with no response.
I followed the procedure to the letter on Scott's web page
for setting the idle and the mixture. Drove the car for about 20 minutes
and everything was fine. Took a test drive at lunch and the problems
began as it approached full temp. The mixture started to wander up the
scale( 45 Degrees, the 55 degrees and finely up to about 80 degrees). I
went
back to work, ran a few errands, and the it keep
getting worse. On the way home I went to my parents house to work on my
Coupe, by this time it was fluctuating at 75 to 85 degrees at idle. On my
back to my house the mixture went so lean that the frequency valve could no
longer compensate for what is going wrong. Once it gets to this point no
amount of adjustment of the mixture will bring it back to 45 degrees. Once
it sits over night You can readjust the mixture so it will run until it is
gets hot again(by hot I mean 1/2 scale on temp gauge) I have checked
everything three times, but am willing to check again if anyone has any
suggestions. The one item that I have not check is the frequency valve due
to the fact I do not have a procedure. After it
Any ideas? Bad frequency valve, ECU, Fuel distributor.
Any one have the test procedure for these components
Thanks
