Mark- the frequency valve makes a distinct buzzing sound and
has an electrical connector on it. Remove the connector while
the engine is running. Does the buzzing stop? Put the connector
back on. Does the buzzing resume? If yes to both then at least
the frequency valve is trying to work (may still not be right).
But if you hear no change when you remove & replace the connector
(and you should ty this at varying enine temps), then I'd say
either the frequency valve is bad or it's not getting the signal
from the ECU.
