Ur-rocket

I had the pleasure of taking a good drive in a modified RS2-powered
Urquattro last night at LMS. The feeling of shifting out of 5th gear and
into sixth and having your back shoved firmly into the seat once again, at
241km/h on the speedo, is simply wonderful. At 255km/h the digital speed
refuses to increment the speed any higher, hence you're left guessing at the
speed by watching the rev's increase. Breathtaking.

The car is absolutely bone-stock appearing down to wheels and exhaust, and
idles and runs as quietly or quieter than stock. Certainly the car has a
sort of a q-ship appeal to it. They are running A8 calipers and rotors,
which with a little modification can be utilized with the standard 8"
Ronals.

The appearance underhood is as if the factory made it that way. All wiring
and plumbing is beautifully made and one could not tell the car is a convert
unless told so. It just left me wondering about a project for next
winter...
