UR Quattro importing

I have been discusing the possibility of importing a Ur-q from europe with a
friend of mine in Belgium that works for DHL.  Getting one here would not be
a problem.  We could stick it on a plane that is dead heading back to the
states.  Increased availability, in europe is a definate plus.
My question is, what year car should I be looking for and in which countries
are the majority of cars located.
I have not looked into the feasibility of doing this yet (read DOT), but we
do have experience with the importing and exporting of aircraft to and from
europe, and I am hoping that this can be done.  I will be calling the DOT
later today to find out what I will need to do and will post my findings.
Any info that I can get will be greatly appreciated.
