Somewhat eventful day and a question...

Not a monumental thing, but for Greenville, rather rare...

Was at Sam's Club and noticed an S4 in the lot. Blue with tan (ecru?)
interior. Front plate was foreign, not sure what country. Waited around
and a 50+ (maybe 60ish even) came out and got in it. She had parked
pretty close to a banged up Escort after pulling in to the angle spot
coming the wrong way. Kind of grinned when she looked concerned that the
Escort passenger had the Escorts passenger door open and very near to her
left front wheel well flare. She had the buggy cage on the other side so
she _could_ have given _herself_ more room. I was parked nose to nose
with her car and she didn't seem to notice, which didn't surprise me.
Like I said, not monumental, but it was nice to see such a car locally.
It had 245 Dunlop SP8000's.

Got a business card under my wiper here at home tonight. Club H2O, SC
Chapter, Watercooled VW and Audi Club. Emailed the two people listed on
the card. A Jetta driver left it. Maybe I'll find some interesting
events going on locally.

Also, found and contacted an appraiser locally about the Avant. Sounds
positive. We'll see...

And, last but not least: I removed the vacuum pump pushrod yesterday.
Took about 10 minutes and no tapping now. Brakes feel the same so far.
At only 1000k feet above sea level, I don't expect to notice a
difference.

Got a question... I got new motor and trans mounts on the CGT a while
ago. I have a noticeable amount of torque steer (left) and just don't
think these CGT's are supposed to exhibit that. When doing the vacuum
pushrod, I noticed the bolt that holds the motor mount is quite a bit
outside of the position it was in before, based on the remnants of some
substance that was previously gooped around the nut. Can "misalignment"
of the motor cause some torque steer? Seems like it could to me, but
thought I'd get some input before messing with this. It was the left
side motor mount that I was looking at.

Thanks.
