For the bizillionth time, the dealer and/or AoA can't just blanket void all the
warranties.  they hafta prove that your mod caused or contributed to the
problem.  doesn't mean that they won't try to do that, or that it won't be a
hassle, or that YMMV or whatever, but if they do... they are wrong bad guys.

amurican car mfg. used to do this all the time - that putting in an aftermarket
stereo voided any and all electrical warranties. then they got slapped down and
had to be reasonable.

now if you overbore your motor and run insane compression ratios and excessive
boost - the factory may have a point.  on the other hand, motors running the same
boost that Audi allows in other markets under factory warranty clearly isn't
excessive...
