RE: ignition upgrade

NOT. For the MOST part I agree about ignition upgrades on a stock
motor. Althought some mods can allow more efficient combustion which
gives more power. On modified Turbo motors they get to be more important
But TB upgrades can a do make a difference. On a STOCK 4kq NO.
But puttingh a 4kq TB on an old Coupe makes a Noticable difference. As
does a new TB on the A4 V6 12v. Very Noticable. And on a Modified 4kq
with a Cam it will help. Esp if the head gets ported like you mentioned
he should do. At that point, the TB is restricting Airflow into the
motor. But stock the head and Cam, exhaust are bigger problems.

This is very true. I'd rather just do a turbo swap but I have
seen NA Coupes and 4kq's run with ur-q's and Turboed 4ktq's. So it can be
done. And to do it you WILL need ported heads, Cam, TB, Exhaust, 2.3l
Motor with big Valve Head and higher Compression. Etc. At this point
ignition could help.

Yep, I agree. In Order I'd do Exhaust, then 4kq Manifold and DP
if you have a coupe, Cam or Port, Then Cam or port (I'd do both at the
same time), and then TB, THEN ignition upgrades.
