Re: Consistently Warped Rotors Driving Me Nuts
Richard -
I totally agree! On my 87 5Kcstq (IA stage 1) I went thru 2 sets of
rotors that warped - and this was before I chipped up the HP. Then I
bought
**cross-drilled rotors**
from Group 6 performance somewhere in AZ (they're a European Car
advertiser) and the problem 'magically' went away.
No change in my driving habits, No Big Brakes set up needed, & I don't
buy that two different shops improperly torqued the first two sets of
rotors. Just cross drilled rotors. I believe slotted would work too.
I got lots of miles out of them (4+ years).
Now I've put on ATE PowerDiscs rotors with Ferodo pads. Again no
warping so far (about 9 months - plenty of time if the original
problem were to re-occur).
YMMV - Mark
